Our website www.fearthemecca.com is updated regularly with news and information and has an all teams calendar posted with dates for practices, games and important school wide events. Additionally if you are a parent of a returning player or an incoming freshman you can sign up to be on our email list for direct email updates. Those links are found on our website home page.
Practice and Camps
All players participating in summer 7v7 and summer camp workouts need to be signed up with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) through the AAU Website
The membership fee is $16.00 if you already have a membership with AAU, let coach Thompson know asap.

Physicals & Clearances
Your child will need to have a physical done before he can participate in any practices during summer and training camp. For your convenience a school wide physical event is scheduled 6/5/19 at the MMHS Media Center and the cost is $25.
Physicals are conducted by Dr. Bazzo who is our team doctor with UCSD. This is an athletic physical with concussion baseline testing. Additionally, you will need to complete the online athletic clearance.
All incoming and returning student-athletes are REQUIRED to have an athletic physical and online consents completed as part of the clearance process. Here are the basic steps to follow when registering your athlete for the first time:
- Visit www.AthleticClearance.com
- Watch quick tutorial video
PARENTS register with valid email username and password. You will be asked to type in a code to verify you are human. If this step is skipped your account will not activate. (If this step is skipped, please contact us to activate your account)
- Login using your email address that you registered with
- Select “New Clearance” to start the process.
- Choose the School Year in which the student plans to participate.
Example: Football in Sept 2019 would be the 2019-2020 School Year.
Choose the school at which the student attends and will compete for. Choose Sport.
- Complete all required fields for Student Information,
Educational History, Medical History, and Signature Forms.
(If you have gone through the AthleticClearance.com process before, you will select the Student and Parent/Guardian from the drop-down menu on those pages)
- Donate to your athletic program or pay participation fees (private schools only).
- Once you reach the confirmation message you have completed the process.
- If you would like to register for additional sports/activities you may check off those sports below the confirmation message. Electronic signatures will be applied to the additional sports/activities.
- All of this data will be electronically filed with your school’s athletic department for review.
We recommend comfortable workout attire in the following color schemes; shirts/grey, shorts/royal, jersey/grey. A team spirit pack is available for purchase until 5/26/20 only. Click this link for details.

JV and Frosh Banquet
The goal is to not have parents of players working during their son’s playing time. We ask that JV and Freshmen parents support the varsity home games so that it allows parents to watch their sons play, and vice versa for JV/Freshmen games. There are still many varsity parents willing to volunteer before and after home games which is a big help. Additionally, there are several non-game day volunteer opportunities and events that allow parents the ability to be a supportive part of Marauders Football. This is truly One Family, and we’re excited to create a memorable season experience with your help.
